With Haier being the leading home appliance in the world, we were tasked with bringing awareness of the brand to the South African market.
The Haier Group is the world’s no. 1 Major Appliances brand with a 9.8 % retail volume market share in 2015, with consumers in over 100 countries worldwide. Our aim was to grow the Haier Facebook page, to extend communication target audience reach and to establish/reactivate their social media platforms.
We utilised the Haier SA social media platforms to drive the core message. We engaged in content generation, social media management and marketing in which we identified and targeted key audiences, and engaged them on issues of innovation, sustainable technology and leaders in household appliances. We also launched various competitions to increase brand awareness such as the Win a Fridge Competition in conjunction with the 2016 Olympics.
This project was done to grow the Haier social media presence and increase brand awareness within the SA market and thus drive sales.
2017 Fastest growing appliance pages in SA
We achieved the highest number of mentions of #HigherLiving and Haier SA on Facebook with this campaign. There was a 200% increase in traffic to the Haier website and Haier retailers. This campaign saw engagement increase of over 10 times (organic), furthering the online campaign’s objectives of establishing Haier as a leader in innovative and sustainable household appliances.
